ESCAR Conference followed by Security Workshop

At the ESCAR (Embedded Security in Cars) conference members of Sevecom are presenting two papers. One concerns Security Engineering for VANETs, and the other is on the requirements for secure vehicle communications.

ITS World Congress and Exhibition
8-12 October 2006, London
Sevecom member Antonio Kung (Trialog) presents the Sevecom project at the 13th ITS World Congress and Exhibition on Intelligent Transport Systems and Services. The programme provides information about all the presentations and sessions. The congress is organised by ERTICO and hosted by ITS United Kingdom. ERTICO-ITS Europe is a multi-sector, public/private partnership pursuing the development and deployment of Intelligent Transport Systems and Services (ITS). ITS comprises a wide range of tools for managing transport networks and services for travellers.

Interview in IEEE Pervasive Computing
October 2006
Sevecom member Jean-Pierre Hubeaux (EPFL) is interviewed in the October-December 2006 issue of the review IEEE Pervasive Computing.  In the Spotlight section, he discusses various aspects in the area of vehicular networking, including goals, standards, research, and applications.


Sevecom and Prime Collaboration
2July 2006, Lausanne
Members of the projects Sevecom and Prime met in order to work together on privacy enhancing technologies. PRIME aims to develop a working prototype of a privacy-enhancing Identity Management System. To foster market adoption, novel solutions for managing identities will be demonstrated in challenging real-world scenarios, e.g., from Internet Communication, Airline and Airport Passenger Processes, Location-Based Services and Collaborative e-Learning.


 Sevecom proposal accepted by EU Commission
20 July 2005
The European Union Commission accepts the proposal for the Sevecom project. It has the green light to start on 1 January 2006. The Sevecom project is part of the eSafety initiative, the Information Society and Media initiative, and the Sixth Framework Programme of the European Commission.
